1. Introduction

Welcome to Taixt. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Taixt macOS application and web services (collectively, the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Taixt is a macOS menu bar application that allows you to transform selected text using artificial intelligence. The Service enables you to:

  • Process selected text in any application using customizable hotkeys
  • Apply AI-powered transformations such as grammar correction, style improvement, translation, and more
  • Generate new text based on prompts
  • View history of your text transformations

3. System Requirements

To use Taixt, you need:

  • A Mac computer running macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
  • Accessibility permission granted to Taixt (required for text selection and processing)
  • An internet connection for AI processing
  • A valid Taixt account

Important: The Accessibility permission is essential for Taixt to read and replace selected text in other applications. Without this permission, the core functionality will not work.

4. Account Registration

To use Taixt, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Taixt offers both free and paid subscription plans. For current pricing and plan details, please visit our Pricing page.

5.1 Free Trial

New users receive a limited number of free requests. Once exhausted, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service.

5.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide reasonable notice before any price changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after price changes constitutes acceptance of the new prices.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
  • Generate spam, malware, or content intended to deceive or defraud
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
  • Use automated systems to abuse the Service or exceed fair usage
  • Resell, redistribute, or provide access to the Service to third parties

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Taixt application, website, and all related intellectual property (including software, design, logos, and documentation) are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the text you process through our Service. We do not claim any ownership rights to your content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI-generated results will be accurate or appropriate
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • Any defects will be corrected

You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors and should be reviewed before use in critical applications.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you process through the Service

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the application and deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability).

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
